No fabricated firsthand experience
We do not write “we tested,” “we owned,” or “we used” unless that actually happened and can be documented. Criteria-based recommendations are clearly presented as research frameworks rather than hands-on verdicts.
Unstable claims get sourced
Shipping times, financing, prices, inventory and seller policies can change. Pages that rely on those facts link to current first-party sources and label merchant statements as merchant statements.
Third-party reviews are signals, not proof
Individual BBB, Trustpilot, forum or social posts can reveal patterns worth investigating. They are not treated as independently verified facts about every transaction.
Affiliate independence
Commercial links are marked with sponsored/nofollow attributes. A merchant relationship does not prevent the site from describing restrictive policies or negative third-party reports.
Corrections
Substantive corrections should be made on the affected page and the modified date updated. We prefer correcting an existing same-intent page rather than publishing a second page that competes with it.
